001). The ICWR interval of ? 4 years was associated with unfavorable sRR (p=0.062), sLRR (p=0.014), PFS (p=0.001), and OS (p=0.005). Among the 157 patients who received radiotherapy after ICWR, chest wall plus RNI significantly improved PFS (p=0.004) and OS (p=0.021) compared with chest wall irradiation alone. In the 166 patients whose ICWR interval was ? 4 years, chest wall plus RNI provided the best PFS (p<0.001) and OS (p=0.022) compared with chest wall irradiation alone or no radiotherapy.
Patients with ICWR have a high-risk of sRR in SC and axilla. Chest wall plus RNI is recommended.

However, it is unclear if real-world clinical practice is in accordance with the current guidelines. This study was to present the real-world treatment patterns and ET regimens among HR+ ABC patients in China.
Using data from the Nation-wide Multicenter Retrospective Clinical Epidemiology Study of Female Advanced Breast Cancer in China (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier NCT03047889), we investigated the clinicopathological characteristics, clinical profiles, and treatment patterns of HR+ ABC patients from January 2012 to December 2014.
A total of 2,342 patients with HR+ ABC were included in this study. Our findings revealed that, in comparisons with those receiving initial CT (n = 1445), patients initiated ETndicating unmet need for treatment options that improve the effectiveness of endocrine therapy.
Less than one quarter of patients initiated palliative ET for HR+ ABC in routine clinical practice. Patients who received multi-lines of ET experienced successive shorter durations following each line of therapy. This real-life data provides a solid overview of ET for HR+ ABC from China, indicating unmet need for treatment options that improve the effectiveness of endocrine therapy.Vascular leiomyosarcoma is an extremely rare tumor and is associated with poor prognosis among leiomyosarcoma. Surgical resection remains the main treatment option. But outcome of definitive treatment with chemoradiotherapy in inoperable patients is not clear. Here, we report treatment and outcome of definitive chemoradiotherapy in a case of vascular leiomyosarcoma. A 64-year-old man with the initial presentation of pulsatile right neck mass was diagnosed with right carotid body leiomyosarcoma. He refused surgical intervention due to risk of carotid body injury and ischemic stroke. Successful tumor control was achieved with carboplatin-based concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Investigational liquid biopsy for circulating sarcoma cells was also performed to analyze drug sensitivity profile of this rare tumor. One year after treatment, the disease remained well controlled and there was no evidence of baroreflex failure or treatment-related late toxicities. To our best knowledge, this is the first case report of right carotid body leiomyosarcoma controlled with definitive concurrent chemoradiotherapy. The approach of personalized multi-modality treatment will be a focus of our future investigation.Due to the lack of typical symptoms and signs and sensitive indicators for early diagnosis of obstructive colorectal cancer (OCRC), it is critically needed to find new novel biomarkers to ameliorate the management of OCRC patients. In this study, 472 blood samples were collected and measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to investigate the value of serum chemokine ligand 7 (CXCL7) in diagnosis and prognosis for OCRC patients. The median concentrations of CXCL7 in non-OCRC and OCRC were both higher than that in controls (both P less then 0.05). Importantly, the median serum concentration of CXCL7 in OCRC was also higher than that in non-OCRC (P less then 0.001). In all OCRC patients, the area under the curve (AUC) of CXCL7 was 0.918 with a sensitivity of 86.54% and a specificity of 81.87%. Similarly, the AUC of CXCL7 was 0.684 when the diagnostic test was performed between OCRC and CRC patients. CXCL7 had a higher AUC than other markers. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/bay-876.html The concentration of CXCL7 in 40 postoperative OCRC patients was higher than normal people and lower than preoperative patients. The median survival time was 62.00 months and the 5-year overall survival (OS) rate of the patients was 51.80% in all 155 OCRC patients. Multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression model analysis showed that high CXCL7 in serum was independent factors associated with poor OS of OCRC patients (HR = 2.216, P = 0.032). These results demonstrate that serum CXCL7 may be a potential biomarker both in diagnosis and prognosis for OCRC patients. To recognize the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene mutation status in lung adenocarcinoma (LADC) has become a prerequisite of deciding whether EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) medicine can be used. Polymerase chain reaction assay or gene sequencing is for measuring EGFR status, however, the tissue samples by surgery or biopsy are required. We propose to develop deep learning models to recognize EGFR status by using radiomics features extracted from non-invasive CT images. Preoperative CT images, EGFR mutation status and clinical data have been collected in a cohort of 709 patients (the primary cohort) and an independent cohort of 205 patients. After 1,037 CT-based radiomics features are extracted from each lesion region, 784 discriminative features are selected for analysis and construct a feature mapping. One Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE) Convolutional Neural Network (SE-CNN) has been designed and trained to recognize EGFR status from the radiomics feature mapping. SE-CNN model is trained acan precisely recognize EGFR mutation status of LADC patients. The proposed method combining radiomics features and deep leaning is superior to ML methods and can be expanded to other medical applications. The proposed SE-CNN model may help make decision on usage of EGFR-TKI medicine.
